We couldn’t have asked for a better opening for the MedMo ReOpen the World Tour for our home town, NYC!. We had over 80 people come in person with an additional 55 watching virtually. We look forward to holding more events in the future with bigger and bigger crowds while making sure everyone joining us is safe – thanks to COVID testing at the door and Vaccine status checking at the door by Jen Rosen of Northwell!
We successfully checked everyone for COVID thanks to our nurse volunteers who did rapid COVID tests at the door. We started the night with a great cocktail/networking hour, with delicious drinks served by our Chief Scientist Avisha NessAiver, who would have guessed those labs skills would also make him a top-notch mixologist. He is also a founder of a MedStartr Portfolio company Birya BioTech AND star of the popular DistilledScience Show on TikTok!
We began the presentations with an opening statement from the managing partner of MedStartr Ventures Alex Fair, who talked about all the exciting things MedStartr has planned and how everyone can get involved in the community and support medical innovations. In the last year alone we ran over 600 virtual events! It’s been a busy year for us here but we don’t plan on taking a break anytime soon.
