Advancing from Idea to Impact: MedStartr Innovation Showcase 2023 Health Impact East

Watch the very exciting WarOnCOVID Finals.  After four semi-final heats we had an amazing group of startups that had won their way onto the stage and into our due diligence processes.  over 130 teams went in and three came out, largely based upon this pitch contest.

At the first of four Semi-Finals Heats 9 companies presented their innovations to our online crowd and amazing judges.  Growfitter came away with first prize followed by Ligence and Preventiv, but Kinaptic and Magic Horizons put in strong performances too and will be reviewed as well for investment. 

This the 2nd heat of 2021 Vision challenge. Where we put 11 teams on stage to pitch their ideas in front of investors, entrepreneurs, industry experts, medical professionals, and everyone in between. Held on December 2, 2020, 9 teams came on stage to show what healthcare will look like in 2021! Turns out it involves magic wands nanobots and ai but what idea is the best? Watch to find out!

As 2020 has finally comes to an end, and so does the MedMo 2021 Vision Challenge. We took the best of the best and brought them back to see who would make the biggest impact in the coming year!

A conversation led by Guillermo A. Sanz-Berney, Md, PSM an accomplished physician informaticist and Doug Fridsma who was the longest-serving president of AMIA.

We are super stoked to finish our first real event in NYC in over a year. After running over 600 virtual events (no, that is not a typo!) we kicked off the #MedMo ReOpen the World Tour in Chicago two weeks ago. The Event was great, but it wasn't in our hometown, not in OUR City with our people. That is why we are so pleased to have over 100 people to come and 7 amazing startups that will knock your socks off. The Panelists including Shereese Maynard, MS, MBA, George T Mathew MD, Inderpal Chhabra MD, Sunita Parajuli, Gaurav Mehta, and Gail Zhatz are amazing as well.

Watch the five finalists from the Good ViVEations Innovators Challenge from March 2022 at the ViVE conference in Miami, FL.  Great show with patient activists and Salam the Poet (Jorry Cross) inspiring the crowd to get involved in healthcare innovation to help drive positive change. Teams pitching included Lura, Helpp.ai, Cliexa, Akenta and Patient Genie.

Our Pitch contest at the Healthcare Innovation Conference in Baltimore, Maryland in March of 2022. Five great teams on stage. Fun fact: for only the second time in over 100 pitch contests the top three teams were all lead by female founders. Great job!

Las Vegas was the last stop on the 2022 MedStartr Momentum (#MedMo) World Tour. We had seven great teams on stage out of a field of over 300 applicants. We did not declare winners because to get to the stage all the teams went through reviews by over 40 MedStartr Mentors as well as a due diligence process that was rigorous. What the teams were really competing against was the inertia of the healthcare system and in that sense they all won, as many great conversations leading to adoption and investment started through this event and many are now portfolio companies.
