In 2018 we are expanding on the MedMo Roadshow where we did events in ten cities looking for our first investments in 2017.  This year we are targetting 20 cities and 20 new companies to invest in.  So far we have done events in New York, Miami, Las Vegas, and New Orleans and a due diligence trip to Daytona for the Alertgy team that won the New Orleans Health Innovators Challenge over to Daytona Beach.  Yesterday we did a Pitch Contest in the middle of Health Impact Southwest and found some fantastic teams.

The competition was pretty fierce among these five great teams:

Verimos – Blockchain Wellness http://verimos.com/  @Verimos

LabMDis – Genetic Data Exchange – https://www.medstartr.com/project/detail/963 @LabMDis

See Thru – Blockchain Ecosystem for Healthcare Transparency – https://www.medstartr.com/project/detail/200317

@SeeThruHealth

Zibrio – Balance Enabled Solutions – www.zibrio.com @ZibrioBalance

Continuity Care – Intelligent Medicine, Better Outcomes – www.ContinuityCare.com  @Cont_Care

They were competing for a place on stage at our year-end Conference, MedStartr Momentum (#MedMo18) and a spot in the MedStartr Ventures Program which provides support, strategic services, and up to 3 M in funding over three years.  (For a complete list of cities on the tour and to apply to pitch, visit bit.ly/MedMoApply.)  Our next dates are in San Francisco and LA next week.  Today we are in Lafayette, Louisianna, covering the CareSet team of Fred Trotter and Ashish Patel as they mentor the teams in the HHS Opioid Crisis @Cajun Code Fest.  Stay tuned!

We are pleased to announce the winning team was Zibrio – makers of the Zibrio Balance Scale, a solution that predicts and helps prevent falls for those at risk.  They will enter our MVP (MedStartr Venture Program) which will get them on the on the path to success even faster than before.  Great job Katey!  We look forward to working with you!
